Let me set the scene for you:  It’s 110 degrees outside and you want to wear the lightest amount of clothing possible (I promise there are no nudes in this post… LOL). How are you supposed to carry your gun comfortably when you’re wearing a swimsuit or your incredibly flattering ranger panties? Sure, there’s the crappy solution of a belly band or sticky holster, but who really wants to add another layer of thick elastic when you’re already sweating your balls off?

Enter: The concealed cary fanny pack! #freetheballs

The RDR Gear A.M.P. Fanny Pack was not necessarily created for holding a firearm – A.M.P. actually stands for Abdominal Medical Pack. One cool thing about this pack is it can be worn as a fanny pack or the straps can be conveniently stowed allowing you to use the rear velcro flap to attach the pack to your plate carrier (think Dangler style pouch).

While this pack is great in its intended role as an abdominal medical pack, it can also fill the role of a concealed cary fanny pack with ease. No, you’re not going to fit your Gucci Glock 34 with a Flux brace and a RMR, but that’s not the purpose of this pack. The A.M.P. comes completely velcro lined which makes it very convenient to carry all your EDC items. You just add the hook portion of the velcro to the back of your holster and, voila, you have yourself a great concealed carry option! I can fit either a Glock 26 or a Glock 43 in a kydex holster and it works great (similarly sized guns would work as well).

Not only can I carry my Glock 43, but I also have a Rats Tourniquet, Leatherman Multi-Tool, spare mag, and a small fixed blade knife all tucked inside. With this setup, you’re ready to throw on your swim suit or ranger panties and head out with confidence carrying all the above gear!

The back of the pack is also lined with velcro so I even attached a small fixed blade knife and mag pouch right to the back. Like I did, you can simply add a small bit of velcro to your mag pouch or sheath and your good to go!

Hope you all enjoy this short write up. Reach out if you have any questions.
